What Motion IPTV Player is

Motion IPTV Player is playback software for an IPTV line you already have. You bring the playlist — an Xtream Codes login or an M3U link from your provider — and the player turns it into a proper television interface: numbered channels, sorted categories, artwork, a scrollable guide and a picture that starts fast. It runs in a browser tab on any computer and as a native app on Android phones, tablets and TV boxes. We do not sell, host, index or resell channels.

Why people move over from other players

Most IPTV apps fall down in the same three places: the guide never loads, changing channels takes several seconds, and the interface was clearly built for a mouse and then pushed onto a remote. Motion was written the other way round. The guide parser handles messy XMLTV files instead of giving up on them, streams are pre-warmed so the picture is on screen while the rest of the interface is still drawing, and every control is reachable from a d-pad as well as a trackpad.

Using the web player

The web player needs no installation at all. Open the page, choose Xtream Codes or M3U, paste in the details your provider sent you, and the playlist loads in a few seconds. Your login is kept in your own browser storage so the tab reopens on the channel you left. This is the option to use on a work laptop, on a Mac, on an iPhone or iPad, or on any smart TV with a modern browser built in.

Using the Android app

The Android app does everything the web player does and adds the things only a native app can: hardware video decoding through ExoPlayer, background audio so a news channel keeps running while you use another app, picture-in-picture, offline downloads where your provider permits them, and a ten-foot layout that appears automatically on Android TV and Google TV. It installs from Google Play on phones and tablets, and can be sideloaded onto a Fire TV Stick through the Downloader app.

Setting up on Android TV or a Fire Stick

On Android TV and Google TV, search for Motion IPTV Player in the Play Store on the device itself and install it like any other app. On a Fire TV Stick, enable installs from unknown sources in the device settings, install the Downloader app, and point it at the APK link on this page. Sign in with the same details you use everywhere else and the channel list appears exactly as it does on your phone.

Xtream Codes and M3U — which do I use?

If your provider sent you a server address, a username and a password, use Xtream Codes. It gives the player structured access to categories, films, series, and the guide, which means better artwork and faster loading. If they only sent you a long link ending in get.php or .m3u8, use the M3U option and paste that link in. You can add a separate XMLTV guide URL underneath if your provider supplies one.

Picture quality and bandwidth

The player reads the quality levels your provider publishes and picks the highest one your connection can hold. When throughput drops, it steps down a level before the buffer empties rather than freezing on a spinner, then climbs back up when the connection recovers. You can also pin a fixed quality from the player controls if you would rather manage it yourself — useful on a metered mobile connection.

Privacy and your credentials

Your provider login is stored on the device you typed it into — browser storage on the web, encrypted app storage on Android — so the player can reconnect without asking again. Turning off "Keep me signed in" limits it to that session only, and Settings has a one-tap wipe that clears the login, favourites and resume history. Streams connect from your device to your provider.

Getting help

If a line will not load, the player names the specific check that failed instead of showing a blank screen — a wrong port, an expired subscription, a connection limit already in use, or a server that blocks browser requests.
